  • Clarendon Fine Arts supports the Fringe with a silent art auction

We’re delighted to announce that Clarendon Fine Art have donated a limited-edition print which will be put up for silent auction to raise funds for the Haslemere Fringe Festival.

The highest bidder in the auction will become the proud owner of a limited edition giclee print of an original painting, ‘Poetry in the Meadow’ by Sherree Valentine Daines, who has been at the forefront of British art for over 35 years and has been described as ‘the face of Modern British Impressionism’.

Her exquisite paintings have been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Tate Gallery, the Barbican and the Lord’s Museum and are held in many private collections all over the world. Daines’ unique style has made her a favourite with many celebrity collectors including members of the British Royal Family and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

Daines’ art frequently captures quintessentially British summer events and she is also well known for her enchanting images of childhood, of which ‘Poetry in the Meadow’ is a fine example.

Laura Brown, Gallery Manager of Clarendon Fine Art in Haslemere said “We’re delighted to be supporting this unique local event with a donation of a work by one of our country’s most treasured artists”

Festival Chair Ken Griffiths says: “The Haslemere Fringe Festival strives to bring all forms of the arts to Haslemere. As a not-for-profit event we rely on the support of local businesses to keep ticket prices affordable so it’s fantastic to have Clarendon’s support.”

The auction is open for all to enter, simply send your name, address, and bid to info@haslemerefringe.co.uk before 4th July 2022. The winner will be contacted by 11th July 2022.
